In 2016, 250 tons of waste engine oil collected from the companies of LOMGroup were sent to our cement factoriy and used as additional fuel instead of conventional fuels (coal, petroleum coke, etc.).

Due to the limited use of such fossil fuels as coal and petroleum coke, we have prevented an extra 1,123 tons of CO2 emission. This equals 53,000 trees that can create 133 hectares of forest.

We have saved approximately 3,095 trees with the recycling of 181,325 kg of paper and cardboard in 2016. 81,021 kg of paper and cardboard was recycled through ÇEVKO Recycling, 92,380 kg of paper and cardboard from our logistics places was collected separately and recycled though a licensed recycling company, and 17,497 kg of paper and cardboard was collected from the offices and recycled through Şehir Kağıt Company in 2016.

LOM Mining Construction Contracting Ltd.  281,084 liters of base oil from the waste oil collected in 2015 and 2016 and prevented 2,819 tons of CO2 emission. We have contributed to the protection of environment by disposing of 51 tons of waste engine oil in waste incineration places.
